Sebastian Meiers – JD Candidate 2026

Sebastian Meiers is going into his third year at Robson Hall. Prior to law school he completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Winnipeg, double-majoring in English and Conflict Resolution Studies. He spent many years proudly serving his community through the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg’s aquatics program. Being the son of two educators, Sebastian was quick to develop a love of language and the arts. His research areas of interest include media studies, social justice, human rights, constitutional law, and law reform. He is excited to bring his passion and skills to the editorial team of the Manitoba Law Journal.


Before the Law: Oral Histories

Dawn Steliga

Dawn Steliga is a part-time student at Robson Hall. Prior to law school, she worked for the Manitoba Accessibility Compliance Secretariat, retired from a 20-year career in healthcare, and completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences with a minor in Psychology. During her time at the Secretariat, she discovered her passion for helping individuals, like herself, who face barriers due to disability. She now utilizes her expertise as an Individual Collaborator for the Canadian Accessibility Network. Her research interests include disability and the law, human rights, and law reform. She is excited to be part of the editorial team of the Manitoba Law Journal.
