Siena McIlwraith-Fraticelli – JD Candidate 2026

Siena McIlwraith-Fraticelli (she/her) is entering her third year of law school at Robson Hall. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Anthropology from the University of Victoria, and a Master of Arts in Globalization and the Human Condition from McMaster University. This summer, she brings valuable experience as both a teaching assistant and a research assistant to her role as an editor with the Manitoba Law Journal. Siena is excited to join the Journal team and continue building her research and editing skills. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, theatre, music, running, and quilting.

Sebastian Meiers – JD Candidate 2026

Sebastian Meiers is going into his third year at Robson Hall. Prior to law school he completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Winnipeg, double-majoring in English and Conflict Resolution Studies. He spent many years proudly serving his community through the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg's aquatics program. Being the son of two educators, Sebastian was quick to develop a love of language and the arts. His research areas of interest include media studies, social justice, human rights, constitutional law, and law reform. He is excited to bring his passion and skills to the editorial team of the Manitoba Law Journal.

 

 

Travis Dech – JD Candidate 2026

Travis is a third-year law student at Robson Hall. Before starting law school, Travis earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Economics from the University of Manitoba. While in law school, he worked at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Calgary, Alberta, as a Summer Student. He aims to combine that in-firm experience with his background in literature to strengthen his research and writing skills. When he's not at his desk, you can find Travis on the golf course, in the kitchen, or enjoying a film.

Dawn Steliga

Dawn Steliga is a part-time student at Robson Hall. Prior to law school, she worked for the Manitoba Accessibility Compliance Secretariat, retired from a 20-year career in healthcare, and completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences with a minor in Psychology. During her time at the Secretariat, she discovered her passion for helping individuals, like herself, who face barriers due to disability. She now utilizes her expertise as an Individual Collaborator for the Canadian Accessibility Network. Her research interests include disability and the law, human rights, and law reform. She is excited to be part of the editorial team of the Manitoba Law Journal.

 

 

Yomna Eid – JD Candidate 2026

Yomna Eid (she/elle) is a bilingual third-year law student at the University of Manitoba. She is passionate about legal research and interested in the intersections of different areas of law, especially where issues are complex, controversial or evolving. Outside of her studies, she serves as President of the Robson Muslim Law Students’ Association and sits on the board of directors for Healthy Muslim Families. In her free time, Yomna is a true crime fan and always happy to chat about the latest horror movie.
